De Binthing is een kleine vulgraad sensor. Het toestel meet tot 50 maal per dag de vulgraad van een container. Naast het meten van de vulgraad biedt de binthing ook inzicht op het gebruik van de container. Via de ingebouwde accelerometer kan het toestel het gebruik van de inwerpklep detecteren of nagaan wanneer de container geledigd werd (oriëntatie verandering). Door een beter inzicht in de vulgraad van afvalkorven of containers, worden nutteloze verplaatsingen vermeden.
Deze app is bedoelt voor ophalers en zorgt voor een eenvoudig beheer van afvalkorven. Daarnaast kunnen foto's gemaakt worden van problemen (sluikstorten, vandalisme, ...)
