Threads is a local-first place for your notes, plans and everyday ideas on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Write with room for detail
Organize notes with headings, checklists, lists, quotes, callouts, tables, images and files. Add highlights, text colors, links and rich formatting, or link directly to another note. On-device voice transcription is available on supported devices, languages and systems.
Connect your notes
Bring related notes together in Threads and organize them into groups. Explore suggested connections and decide which ones to keep.
Keep expenses in context
Add income and expenses to your notes, then review totals by period in the finance view. Keep travel budgets, everyday spending and project costs alongside your written context.
Stay in control
Write locally without creating a Threads account. Export and back up your work. TXT, RTF and .thread note exports are free. Sync is not a separate backup; keep additional copies of important work.
Threads Pro
Pro includes receiving notes and attachments from iCloud, Pro themes, and PDF, Markdown, HTML, DOCX, EPUB and JPG exports. Uploading is available without Pro when iCloud sync is enabled; receiving content on another device requires Pro. Sync requires the same iCloud account, network access and available storage.
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically. A 7-day free trial is available to eligible users when shown at purchase. After the trial, the selected plan is charged unless canceled in advance. Apple displays prices, renewal charges and offer eligibility. Manage or cancel in the app or your Apple Account subscription settings. Expiry does not automatically delete local notes.
