How come there is a report button for sexual and unsolicited material. you don’t have to be 18 to have the app and you can see many people trying to offer and sell sexual material everywhere. There are way too many people that say “like and I will send dirty pictures” and too many people using AI as a scam to attract people. Using other people’s intellectual property as their own and praying on the week to get more views for themselves. Some of this is illegal by the US law even and many other internet laws. I hope Elon takes action and actually sues the company for not holding up to their own policies!!!!! It also seems that the report button literally does nothing because they don’t even look into it. I like how Snapchat will give you an email after they looked into your report to see if it did or didn’t break their rules. Threads doesn’t even do anything about it because you can report something that’s obviously against their rules (like selling unsolicited pictures) and you’ll look back 2 weeks later and it’s still there after clicking the report button multiple times across those 2 weeks. Fix it or I’m not using it

This app is so toxic and mentally draining to be on even for just a few minutes. It’s a knock-off of Twitter and since I dork have much experience with Twitter, I can’t say whether this app is worse or not, but I can’t say it’s very bad. I think the main problem with this app is that the algorithm promotes political posts and other posts about controversial subjects. It doesn’t seem to cater that portion of the algorithm to the user’s opinions based on what they like, dislike, and the kind of accounts they block. A lot of these posts reach the wrong audience, leading to hate and toxicity. In my opinion, a lot of the more controversial posts I saw the second I first opened the app were very stupid, misinformed, or extremist, and this goes for content promoting both sides of the political spectrum. Another big problem this app has is with bots. More specifically, there are an absurd amount of s*x bots and catfish. These types of accounts are usually linked to scams, yet the app literally promotes them as I saw countless amounts when I first started using the app. All in all, this is Twitter but with Facebook’s audience and YouTube’s bot problem.
