Thunder Range turns the seconds in between into an approximate distance, answering the question everyone asks when a storm rolls in: how far away was that? Your taps record the delay between flash and thunder, and Thunder Range uses that time and the speed of sound to estimate the distance. It is an educational estimation tool. It does not detect lightning, does not monitor storms, and does not send weather warnings or emergency alerts. All results are approximate.
