## TimeStamp! — Patch Notes **Version — March 2026** --- ### Bug Fixes - **App name corrected** — The app was displaying as "New Calendar Game" on the home screen. Fixed by setting `CFBundleDisplayName` to "TimeStamp!" in `Info.plist`. - **Game Center icon removed from UI** — The floating Game Center access point button was overlapping the keyboard on text input screens. It has been disabled. Game Center authentication still works silently in the background. - **Party Mode: rooms not found across devices** — Critical multiplayer bug. Room state was stored in local device memory only, so codes generated on one phone could never be found by another. Party Mode now uses Firebase Firestore for real-time cross-device room sync. - **Horizontal photos loading incorrectly** — Landscape-orientation photos were being square-cropped before delivery, causing them to appear zoomed-in and off-center in the photo grid. Changed image fetch mode from `aspectFill` to `aspectFit` so the full image is delivered and display cropping is handled by the UI. --- ### New Features - **Streak tracking** — Daily Challenge now tracks consecutive-day streaks. Your current streak and all-time best streak are saved and displayed in the game header, result card, and Profile. Missing a day resets the streak. - **Partial points for close day guesses** — Getting the day slightly wrong no longer ends your run with zero points. Scoring within 5 days now awards partial credit: - Exact day: **+50 pts** - 1 day off: **+40 pts** - 2 days off: **+30 pts** - 3 days off: **+20 pts** - 4–5 days off: **+10 pts** - 6+ days off: **0 pts** (round ends) - **Photo zoom** — Tapping a photo in the full-screen viewer now supports pinch-to-zoom and double-tap to zoom in. Drag while zoomed to pan around the image. - **Party Mode photo coordination** — The host now selects a target date from their photo library at the start of each round. That date is synced to all players via Firestore. Each player loads one photo from their own library for that date, ensuring everyone is guessing the same round. --- ### Improvements - **Badges reworked** — All badge icons replaced with native SF Symbols for a cleaner, more consistent look. Two new badges added: - **Week Warrior** — Achieve a 7-day daily streak - **Dedicated** — Achieve a 30-day daily streak - **Profile stats updated** — Stats section now shows current streak and all-time best streak instead of a redundant play count. - **Share updated** — All share actions across the app now link to `https://timestampgame.com`. - **Party Mode lobby** — Join room sheet updated with clearer placeholder text and improved error messages (distinguishes between room not found, room full, already finished, and connection error). - **Quick actions use system icons** — Share, Friends, and Settings chips in the home screen now use SF Symbols instead of emoji for visual consistency. - **Terms of Service expanded** — Updated from a placeholder 7-section document to a full 14-section legal document covering photo library usage, Party Mode data, in-app purchases, intellectual property, leaderboard integrity, governing law, and contact details with the correct support URL.
