Closing out? Split the tip pool by hours, tip out the barback, and get every payout right: to the penny for reporting, to the dollar when it's cash.
Split your shift's tips in seconds.
Tip Breakdown does the end-of-night math for bartenders, servers and barbacks — two calculators in one app.
Tip Calculator: count the cash, enter the total, and see what everyone gets, split equally or by the hours each person worked, with the barback paid first as a flat amount or a percentage. Shares come out in whole dollars, with the remainder shown so your team can decide where it goes. Nothing is saved unless you choose to.
Report Tips: for tips you report through a payroll system. Credit card and service charge pools are split separately, a barback tip-out is taken proportionally so nobody covers more than their share, and every payout is broken out into the two figures each entry asks for. Choose a layout to match your business's report: Credit Card Only, Credit Cards and Service Charges, Evention, or your own line names. A quick setup on first launch helps you pick.
Tip Breakdown works the numbers out; you enter them yourself. It does not connect to Evention, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Evention.

What's new in 1.5
• Quick setup: on first launch, a few short questions about how you work (your name, whether you split cash tips or report them, where you usually work, and how your tip report is laid out) get the app ready. Run it again any time from Settings → Tip Reporting Layout.
• Tip Reporting Layout: Report Tips in Settings has a new name and four layouts to choose from: Credit Card Only, Credit Cards and Service Charges, Evention, or Customize. Empty boxes show an example of what to rename them to.
• A second service charge line, for any business that reports one. If you already use the S&P line, it keeps its name.
• Default location: star a location in Settings → Locations and every shift starts there. With none starred, a new shift starts where your last one was.
• The keyboard gets out of the way: tap outside a box, or scroll, to close it. Tip Split no longer opens it as soon as you arrive.
• Names can't start with = + - or @, so your tip log opens safely in a spreadsheet.
