iPhone and iPad tips and tricks
iPhone and iPad tips and tricks is an awesome app. I’ve been learning and using information from the app since it first came out and was free!! I still love it and use it often! But I must say I’m disappointed in the $4.99 a month premium app charge!!!!
Honestly you can google a lot of the information in the app on how to use for example the camera! Or how to use the keyboard! But the information you cannot find on the web as in secret gestures, you’ll only find in this app. And all the news about great features and how to use them, or news and how to use features in the updates is awesome. I’m absolutely not feeling good at all about paying this much. $2 or 3.99, a month is less painful on the bank account.
The 100th Disgruntled
Look at how they wrote a rebuttal to my review! Actually the rebuttal was slightly helpful since I had not noticed the other tabs hidden in plain sight along the bottom of the screen, all ghosted out to increase the difficulty of finding them. This is a common problem in UI design these days: Obscure the difference between content and controls.
But now that I know that there are chapters, I’ve spent 90 minutes browsing thru the content. Some is slightly helpful. Most is far too shallow. Since I continue to struggle with gestures on this Devil iPhone, I read all that was available. I still don’t know how to reliably command a gesture. Nothing says, “Put your finger Right Here.” Some software developers had to define that but apparently it isn’t shared with users.
I’ll keep my 1 star rating because the content is still inadequate with inadequate detail. You will not be able to master an iPhone with this app. Your only recourse is to “Hack and Hope” for thousands of hours. Which get back to a point in my original review: This is a time waster.

Hey thanks for taking the time to place a review. Sounds like you're frustrated by the news feed section, which is a mix of daily tips and news. Did you spot the 'All Tips' tab at the bottom of the screen? You'll find all of the iPhone Tips content in there, neatly organised into chapters. You can swipe sideways to navigate from one tip to the next.
Update: After writing the critical review below, I was immediately contacted by the developer who suggested a fix for the problem of disappearing tips. I deleted the app and then redownloaded it which restored all of the tips. Great customer service and a great app.
I have been using and enjoying Tips & Tricks for almost a year. Today when I opened the app the Tricks were gone. There was just a blank screen. There does not seem to be a way to contact anyone at the developer and there is no support on their website. If they fix the problem and create some support, I'll update my review.

Hi – thanks for your feedback, and I'm glad you were enjoying the app for a long time before the tips suddenly disappeared! Apologies for that. The Tips section can occasionally fail to load when you first install the app – it's usually down to a poor internet connection but admittedly could be something our end.
Luckily it's an easy fix. You can restore the tips to their former glory by deleting the app from your Home Screen and downloading it again from the App Store. This will ensure you have a clean install of the latest version of the app and 99% of the time will fix the problem.
Also, if you ever need to contact us directly for support you can do so from the Settings > Contact us section of the app. Hope this helps! :-)
