Touch Portal 4+

Important note, after reading prior reviews, many problems and quality of life changes have been fixed especially in the oke time purchase version. Secondly, only thing keeping this from 5-stars is that it can be a bit confusing to set up, and confuses some users. It’s also kind of limited for streamers until you get the paid version. However, for a free app it’s hard to complain.

Anybody who wants the functionality of a stream deck for free, use this. I’ve used it since I started streaming. Love it. It’s cheap/free, one time purchase for everything in the app if you want extra functionality beyond the free version. Hard to ask for more considering this is the most reasonable competitor to Elgato’s stream deck, and they’re doing it for the RIGHT price. I support this product.

There are so many incredible tricks you can do with OBS to make your stream pop, but they’re really only possible with a separate interface to make them function. I simply don’t have the money for a Stream Deck, and their app doesn’t support iPad, so I turned to Touch Portal.

I’ve spent the past couple months testing the limits of what it can do with basic programming logic and various plugins, and I’m floored. It’s so powerful. So far I haven’t been able to throw anything at it that it couldn’t handle. It’s also super stable. Never crashes or freezes. I’m in love. It was well worth the one-time purchase to unlock the extra features. Now my stream is capable of all kinds of fun tricks, and it makes me look good. Thanks for this app!!

This app is pretty great. The native support for Streamlabs, XSplit, OBS and Twitch make this the (almost) perfect, and much cheaper, alternative to buying a $70 (or more) stream deck. There are, however, a couple of things that would have made me give this a 5-star rating;

1. Multiple button states
- Each button can have multiple functions, but not multiple icons associated with them. It would be nice if I could have one button control, for example, my microphone mute and be able to have a MUTE icon when it’s muted, and an ON icon when it’s on.

2. Closing applications
- You can open applications from this app, but you can’t close them. This usually isn’t a big deal, because when I’m done streaming, I’m already at my PC anyway, and can click a few times to close windows. It would just be nice to be able to do it from the app.

3. Fonts
- There’s only one font. I should be able to pick from the thousands of fonts I have available to me.

In summary, there isn’t much keeping me from giving this 5-stars. I’m sure at least one of the desired features will be added eventually, but for now, 4-stars is what it gets. Still a great app, and still a better alternative to buying a stream deck if you already have an iPad.
