TrackByte
Lap timer and driving coach
Only for iPhone
Free · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
iPhone
TrackByte turns the iPhone you already own into a lap timer, data logger, video recorder and post-session driving coach. No external hardware, no configuration. Arrive at the circuit, mount the phone, and drive.
ON TRACK
A driving screen built for one glance at 200 km/h: current lap, best lap, and a live delta against your best, with a sign and a colour so it reads in direct sun through a helmet visor. Sector times as you cross them. Voice callouts for every lap and sector, on the car's own speakers, while the app is on screen.
Press Start, then drive: recording begins by itself when the car moves. Video comes from the road camera or the cockpit camera, or both on phones that support it.
AFTER THE SESSION
Every lap, every sector, every corner, on a map of the circuit. Compare two laps side by side, replay a lap in 3D, and see exactly where the time went. The debrief tells you where you are losing time and proves it with your own data: braking points, minimum speeds, the corners where a tenth is available.
Sessions record to disk continuously. A dead battery or a dropped phone costs you at most the last second, never the session.
INDIAN CIRCUITS
CoASTT High Performance Centre, Madras Motor Race Track and Buddh International Circuit, with corner names and sectors. Boards per circuit, per car class and per tyre category, so a Runabout is not measured against a GT3.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Every session is yours until you share it. Location, video and audio never leave the phone. No account is needed to time laps, record video, or read the debrief. Sign in only for clubs, the feed and leaderboards. Delete your account and every copy goes with it.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Start session now waits for you to move. Press it and recording begins by itself as soon as the phone starts moving, so nothing is recorded while you sit in the pits.
The camera footage in a lap replay now plays in step with the lap. Play, pause, scrub, change speed or switch between road and cockpit, and the video follows the map and the speed trace.
Choosing Road, Cockpit or Both on the Drive screen now shows that camera in the preview, with a small inset when you film both. On the driving screen the video control turns green while it is actually filming.
The Sessions screen is now called Track days.
