TracPrac™ (“Track Practice”) is a mobile healthcare clinical evaluation management solution. This digital solution is an education-centered app that automates the traditional paper methods of collecting clinical performance and evaluation records of practical experience in lab, simulation centers, and hospitals/patient care facilities. Students can log data in their TracPrac™ app and verify check-in for attendance, record clinical activities, and track skills progress data related to specific program competencies. Students also have the option to review evaluator’s feedback in real-time, chat with Instructors, upload professional certification cards/badges into the Clinical Wallet, and submit SBAR eForm communication to clinical instructors for assignments. Evaluators, Preceptors, and Clinical instructors/Coordinators/Mentors can save valuable time to track, evaluate, and provide feedback to help each student progress “on-demand” within the mobile app or via password protected website. All clinical data is securely stored and accessed in the cloud-based server/website. Custom report generation
provides clinical performance analytics as evidence to meet program competencies and streamline the preparation of accreditation reports.

TracPrac™ was developed for Healthcare Education programs to be used by both Students and Educators to track clinical attendance, evidence, and duration of clinical experience in a digital format. Healthcare Programs include: Nursing, Dental Hygiene/Assisting, Respiratory Care, Imaging Technology, Physical and Occupational Therapies.

Out Of Touch With Pandemic Impacted Nursing Students

Dismal, non-existent crossover between APP and desk/laptop login. Upon contacting chat customer service I was told that the reason for the lack of crossover as directly quoted “Robin said: Sorry it’s not on the desktop because typically you are in the clinical setting”. Apparently, in an alternate universe the modern day nursing students have not had COVID impact their learning environment. Personally this is NOT the case for me or many nursing students from the spring 2020 to the present day. There are 5 semesters (including the summer accelerated programs) thus far that have been impacted by COVID. The app developers did NOT modify or update their product to accommodate their customers- the schools AND THE NURSING STUDENTS WHO PAY FOR THE USE OF THIS APP - during the pandemic learning environment.

We have had MINIMAL time in a clinical setting with COVID raging through the hospitals and the SNFs.

The developers/ customer service rep are oblivious and out of touch with the morphing and evolution of the nursing learning environment. To make a blanket statement after FIVE COVID impacted semesters that nursing students are in a clinical setting is beyond ignorant.

I have used this app for three semesters, including the current accelerated summer semester. Due to the lack of facility clinical’s we are on campus in small 6-8 student groups for skills, labs and simulations. Every student has their laptop open and working on it during our clinical replacements on campus, socially distanced. A majority of the students in my labs & simulations were frustrated with the lack of crossover between the app and desk/laptop access. The limited clinical time has been in block’s 3 & 4 - NO clinical time in block 1 & 2. The breakdown is 24 hrs block 3 and 36 clinical hours in block 4. This review does not include the frustration expressed by the instructors.

1)You have to log into your desktop in order to acknowledge the instructor feedback, however, you are unable to do that on the app.
2)On the app you can see the skills and everything else that you need for your block however that is not available on the desk/laptop.
3)You need to send your completed competencies VIA the APP to yourself via email and then do what your college requires for uploading. You are unable to run this report from your desktop login.
4)The customer service chat is not like any other I have utilized. There are no cues that show someone is typing in the response on the desktop version (I do not know if it does in the app). Typically if a cue is present when one of the participants is typing a response it lets the other know a response is pending. This may help decrease condescending snarky remarks from customer service!
5)There are no notifications via the APP if you do not close out a session or if an instructor has submitted any form for review.

Quick customer service

I need to use this app for school but I was unable to use it. I got a notice saying insufficient data after accepting terms and conditions. They got back to me and fixed the issue.

Very quick customer service even at late hours. Very helpful too! I had a problem but then it was solved immediately. Very easy to use and very affordable for the services.
