Transkr turns instrument performances into editable MIDI and notation.
Play guitar, bass, voice, piano, violin or saxophone, and Transkr analyzes the performance as you play. Use it in real time to control software instruments with MIDI, or transcribe existing audio recordings and export MIDI, MusicXML or MXL for editing, arranging and notation.
Transkr works from an ordinary audio signal, so you can use the instrument and audio interface or microphone you already have. Guitar and bass transcription does not require a hexaphonic pickup or proprietary hardware. Transkr also includes a polyphonic tuner for guitar and bass.
Transkr detects notes, polyphony, melody, chords, bass notes, key, beat and meter. Guitar and bass also get fretboard and fingering estimation, chord completion and slash chord recognition, with tablature and chord diagrams available in MusicXML and MXL.
Transkr is designed for musicians who want to play naturally and turn their performances into material they can edit, arrange and develop further.
