Five Stars For Americans!

I am giving this game five stars, in part because I love reading comments from whiny Americans who believe the United States is the only country that exists and every category and question should US-centric. Then they have the audacity to tell the creators to broaden their minds and learn about other cultures. The absurdity of those types of comments alone are a good reason to play and rate. Also, it’s a fun game!

Cheers,

Fun

So far, pretty fun game. I really enjoy playing the game itself and answering the questions. To me, that makes it just like playing the Trivial Pursuit board game, which is very fun, challenging, and a source of learning some fun worldwide trivia nuggets. And that’s really all that’s necessary for the game to make it fun. That said, I have noticed the addition of a lot of ads, and gimmicky stuff with no explanation of what the gimmicks are for or how they enhance the game, if they do at all. An example is the Bonus Wheel. While I understand it’s a wheel and perhaps it will provide a bonus, I can find no explanation about it. Is it free to spin? Does it cost me points to spin it? What purpose does it serve, or is it just a gimmick? What is the whole point of these bonus points? Are they just for some dumb bragging right on a “leaders” scoreboard? Can they be used for some purpose while playing a Trivia game? Maybe you could provide explanations for these adjunct items in your settings tab. That would be informative…just like the game itself. Thanks in advance for considering providing explanations. I cannot figure out the point of this extra stuff — since we only play against the app, why are these things cluttering up the game?

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. The bonus wheel is a new feature where you can win gems or lifelines. You can rotate once a day. When you install the new version you will see that there is lifelines to help you when you don't know the answer to a question. It's up to you to use it or not. There is also a new gameplay we call "events" where you need to answer 3 questions in each of the 10 levels. I hope you like it. Regards,
Pedro

New categories and price

I like this trivia app for questions and not many repeats. But all of a sudden, ads pop up way more?! And my one biggest complaint before was I wished they did more trivia categories. Needless to say, I got excited when I saw the recently added 30-40 new categories. Of course, “for purchase” ugh. I’m down to pay for the app, but it costs 1,000 jewels to play one new category. To buy 500 jewels, cost $10. So if you want to be able to just play any of the new categories, it would cost $20 per one category (1,000 jewels). For all 30 - 40 new categories, would cost $600-$800! Most apps just do one annual subscription which is fine- at like $20-$50 one time purchase. I would pay that, but then should get to play any category. Maybe I’m wrong and there’s a way to just do one annual purchase for all categories? If so, let me know and I’ll update my review.

Developer Response ,

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. We see the new categories as something to unlock while playing, not something you need to buy all of them at once. With the new version you will be able to win gems (up to 35 gems with all 7 correct questions) every single game. There is also a chance to double up the gems or win gems on the bonus wheel. If you are a regular player you can easily unlock a category in a day without paying anything. Regards, Pedro
