Description

Want to report a pothole, broken traffic signal, or graffiti while you are out and about? The Tulsa311 App makes reporting issues like these easier than ever! The app uses GPS to identify your location and also allows you to snap a photo to add to your service request. Requests are automatically sent to the servicing department in Tulsa City Council for resolution. You will be able to follow your issue from the time it is reported until it is resolved.

User setup issues

I had an account but couldn’t log in, apparently my account got deleted in the aftermath of the big city computer hack a few years ago. When creating a new profile, it could not find my home address. The profile entry fields seem oddly particular about formats. After finally managing to get profile address accepted, when submitting a case it oddly has the city and zip on the street address line, and a separate line for city, state, and zip but the state is blank. I assume anyone looking at it knows we’re in OK. The contact phone is blank on the case submission, even after going back to my profile and entering my phone number. And when entering phone number, it complains when I enter 918-xxx-xxxx (with my number), says it requires a positive number! If it’s not smart enough to interpret the dashes, list the format on the entry screen. Even after that, when submitting a case my contact phone is blank.

What’s the Point?

Location services don’t work. Do we know how long it takes to process? False hope is no bueno.

Barely functions

Location services don’t work. To submit multiple reports you have to log in each time. There is no way to remain logged into the app. Searching for a location by a business name doesn’t work. Map scrolling is glitchy and inaccurate. Email updates from the app don’t include any details about the report so when you do get a response you have no idea which report it’s for. Looks like a case of weaponized incompetence — the worse the app is, the fewer reports the city has to deal with.
