Overall solid. Best around

Not too many complaints here. The best there is on the iOS market. However, the icons for the tuning fork and the speaker should be switched. Right, so I'm trying to get a reference pitch so I default to the tuning fork button. Wrong, apparently if you wanna play your instrument at volume (like a speaker button might indicate), that's what the tuning fork button is for. Like I'm just looking for an effing A440 and would be looking for that tuning fork in real life. But when I click that tuning fork button, it brings me to the chromatic tuner. Like seriously, a tuning fork is not a chromatic tuner. Why in the h is the g darn chromatic tuner icon a tuning fork. Serious flippin UI problem. Took me like a solid month of pure frustration to get this shiitake straight.

Simple and surprisingly accurate. Been using it for years now.

Years ago when I first downloaded this app, I was not even aware up to that point that such a thing exists; that is, an app that can be a fully functional and accurate tuner like a typical physical stand-alone tuner. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find when I gave it a try, it actually worked! I have even compared the results from what this app tuner thinks is in tune and then what a true physical tuner reads. I admit I was impressed to find that they were virtually the same......In other words, it truly does work. Nothing fancy (which I like as a matter of fact) but it has proven to be a pretty reliable tuner which is all I need.

All that said, if I am going to be performing live or laying down some guitar tracks in a studio or anything like that, I would still prefer a physical tuner from any of the long established well known names in that world; however, for just needing to make a quick tweak while your practicing and don’t have your tuner near by, or anything like that, I know I can always have this on my phone as a backup ready to go and can trust the accuracy without having to worry. Definitely comes in handy. Honestly have no complaints. Would certainly recommend to guitar players like myself as well as any other musicians that this may still work for with whatever other instrument you might play. Great up for what it is. Thanks!

Amazing Quality, Great App

I really like Tuner Lite because it allows me to have a tuner pretty much whenever I want, because I don’t have a tuner at home. I love how it’s free and doesn’t take up much storage, and you can change your background if you want to. It also doesn’t run wild like other tuners do. (What I mean by that is some tuners bounce from “it’s all tuned!” To “it’s horrible” within a second and it gets me confused. Tuner Lite doesn’t do that.) One thing I don’t like about Tuner Lite, though, is that it limits you to a certain amount of backgrounds “because they are only available in the payable version of the app”. Well, that doesn’t really matter that much because it’s great anyway, so I still give it 5 stars. Another thing I don’t like is that it has useless ads at the bottom. Well, I guess it doesn’t bother me too much because it doesn’t cover anything important in the app. One strange thing I noticed today is that when I clicked on the app, it wanted me to get some “music store”, when I don’t need that thing. I just need Tuner Lite and Soundcorset to practice my violin. (Check that app out too; you’ll love it!) Anyway, when I clicked on that (I had no choice)it took me to the App Store where it wanted me to buy it. No thanks. I just went back to Tuner Lite and everything was fine. I love it, and I really recommend it for every musician to use!
