Twig - The shared journal for couples. Social media is too public and scrapbooking is too hard - share your memories with your partner in one place, just for the two of you. Each memory has a place for you to upload photos and each add a note about your special moment. Twig makes it easy to document even the smallest of sweet moments. Plus, it's completely free. The story behind Twig: Both my fiancé Kassidy and I have gifted each other various forms of scrapbooks. While that definitely has its place, we wanted something that could be used any time something special happened. So I set out to make this app. Now we've got a rolling memory of all sorts of special moments we've shared! I hope it's just as useful for you as it has been for us. Enjoy!

My girlfriend and I love posting our experiences and reflecting back on them since our first date together. This app has been great for our relationship. Each time we share, the other gets a notification and we always get excited to see what each other posts. It’s a great platform for journaling our time together and makes it convenient to look back at our entries. I haven’t purchased ‘Plus’ yet but I’m sure I will. One suggestion I might have is to time/date stamp the top of each entry. Sometimes our responses are not immediate and it would be nice to keep a timeline of our posts. Thank you for a great app.

It’s been nice to recap some of our first visits with each other before we decided on a dating relationship.The photo display in the app is a little clunky. We wish you could choose which photo to be the cover photo for a particular memory. And also to be able to choose which part of the photo is featured, as the app kind of zooms in way too far on the photo. Then when you actually open up the photos section in the memory/ journal entry, there’s no way to organize them or title them to your liking. Would be a nice feature to add! Besides that, we’ve had a great time with the app. Hopefully, Twig will continue to improve their UI experience.

Reading the developer’s story almost perfectly parallels my wife and mine. We had a similar idea on a short getaway trip and thought about creating an app. Luckily I started searching for such an app and came across Twig. It’s been so great for us sharing intimate thoughts and feelings that we wouldn’t put out there otherwise. My favorite part of social media is the memories that pop up from years past- the downside is I have to post these for the world to see just so I can see the memory of it in the future. This app solves that downside as it’s private between my wife and I. I love it. I tell lots of people about it and I hope it’s around forever!

We tried another major couple’s app for about five minutes before we both wanted to delete it. I’m very happy that we found Twig instead. I like the lack of gimmicks. I like the clean, minimalist interface. We ran into a problem connecting our profiles (user error) and the app developer replied within hours and got it resolved, so I also like the customer service. My partner and I are using this as a way to talk about important things—some happy, some hard—that we want to keep separate from our daily texts about groceries and schedules. Highly recommend.
