Unified Practice introduces Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management specifically designed to help Acupuncture clinics easily manage patient appointments, forms and charts. Our native iPhone application will allow you to create, manage and sync patient appointments from your phone. Please note that UnifiedPractice can only be used in conjunction with a subscription-based Web Application Service.

Better on iPhone
This app works a lot better in my iPhone than it did on my old Android. I often have to refresh the screen to make it show changes. It’s also annoying to be unable to delete time offs that are in a series from the app. Plus, I wish there were a way for me to see if new patients have at least filled out their paperwork. I’d also love to be be able to look up patients by their phone numbers. But despite these issues overall it’s robust enough for me to schedule patients when I’m on the go and that’s good enough.
The agenda app won’t upload half of the time, giving and error message instead. It is supposed to syn with iCal though Google calendar, but doesn’t. They said they are waiting to be approved by Google, and then it will be able to link to ICal, but in the 5 months I have been with Unified Practice there is zero change. The lack of ability for patients to view all of their scheduled appointments - or any of them - is another drawback. They said this was to be added soon as well, but no timeline. What is the use of an online scheduling tool if patients cannot login to view their scheduled appointments? The only way they can access their appt is from the link they are sent when scheduling or getting a reminder. If that is lost... then there is no solution. Not very well thought out. After going though all of the trouble to set up with UP just 5 months ago, these issues are enough to have me shopping around again or consider going back to Office Ally - the clearinghouse through which my billing still has to go through anyway, 2nd hand from Unified. The only thing I really like is the intake forms which are fairly seamlessly sent to patients. But the rest just isn’t making up for it.
Responsive IT Team, Usable App.
I have been with Unified Practice since the beginning. With any EMR, there is always a learning curve. However, whenever I had a question no matter how simplistic it might would seem to someone else, the IT team at Unified Practice has always been there to help me along the way. For the most part, the application is self-explanatory. I’ve noticed that it works best with Apple products (I.e.- my massage therapists who have older Samsung phones had issues with the scheduling app. loading but newer phones or iPhones don’t seem to have issues). Unified Practice team truly values input from their customers. They also know when to offload questions or escalate issues in order to get problems solved. I’m truly happy with this company and their products, helping me run a successful integrative wellness center with multiple massage therapists, acupuncturist and other practitioners.
