Urban Plates 4+

The app has been slow to load. Also with a recent change I haven’t been able to choose gluten free bread. I chose it on my preferences but the option for gf bread is now gone when I try and choose options for my plate. Either that or the restaurant doesn’t pay attention to preferences and just gives regular bread.

Also 3 up and 4 up are missing as options on the plates now.

Pros: it works 95% of the time
Cons: Slow. Every page load is slow. UI terrible. For example on the home page the order button is too small and to the bottom left. It should be far larger and easier to navigate. Another major UI issue is the bread. I often order plates that come with bread preselected. If i want to remove it I need to press the “-“ sign then add a “No bread” item. I find this a really strange UI decision.

Not sure if bug but about 4 times now when I place a pickup order the time is set to tomorrow and I don’t see it until I get to the restaurant. There also needs to be an option to modify orders. I like steaks medium (most people do) but they make theirs med-rare by default. This means I need to call after placing my order to request this. Problem is 1. the inconvenience 2. sometimes they don’t pick up the phone at all.

Overall, I’m glad there even is an app but wish it felt modern.

As many of already stated there’s a lot of bugs in this app I was just charged for my meal, but nothing actually went through except for my credit card. No confirmation email the time was wrong so It didn’t place the actual order and I have to go back and dispute the charge if it’s not automatically taken off later… Kind of a pain 🙄

Edit: I guess the order went through but no confirmation email and the app still shows it didn’t go through or anything sooo… 🤷
