VAMono is a virtual analog monophonic synthesizer inspired by iconic monophonic analog synthesizers of the 80's. The oscillators are capable of wide variety of modulation to shape the sound before the filtering stage. Pitch, shape and pulse width can be modulated by LFO, ADSR envelope. Xmod and Ring modulation offers audio rate modulation. Hard Sync offers a characteristic sync sound. Filter section and Amplifier offers classic sound of the iconic analog synthesizer of 80’s. Amp section additionally offers amplitude modulation followed by distortion and delay effect. VAMono offers built-in 64 step sequencer to sequence notes and parameters. Synthesizer and Sequencer can be used as an AudioUnit Extension (AUv3) or Stand Alone. Stand Alone Mode supports Ableton Link, Bluetooth MIDI and MIDI IN/OUT. Main Features AudioUnit Extension (AUv3) - Virtual Analog Monophonic Synthesizer features two oscillators, one LFO, one lowpass filter, three envelope generator, one amplifier, distortion and delay effect. - Oscillators are capable of producing continuously variable wave shapes and offers variety of modulation. - Features two Amp Envelopes, Gate and ADSR. ADSR envelope is analog style non-linear envelope generator. - 24 dB per octave lowpass filter and amplifier produces characteristic sound of iconic analog synthesizer in 80’s - LFO provides seven wave shapes and can be synced with tempo. Distortion and delay effects are included. Sequencer - Sample accurate 64 step sequencer capable of sequencing notes and parameter automation. - Synthesizer and sequencer work as AudioUnit Extension (AUv3) and as Stand Alone. - MIDI input and output - 60 factory patches Stand Alone (AU Host Application) - Support Ableton Link - Support Bluetooth MIDI - MIDI input and output System Requirements - iOS 14.2 or later (VAMono utilizes features introduced in iOS 14 and it is not backward compatible.)

Great mono synth

The closest thing I’ve found on iOS to a Roland Sh101 emulation. One of the most underrated developers imo. All their apps are great.

I’m embarrassed to say that this fine monophonic synth got lost in the shuffle, because back in those days a new iOS synth was still almost coming every other week. And there have been some fine synth apps in the last several years. Remember back further? When iOS music was still new and dynamic!? This synth app started giving more generative freedom to sonic frontiers explorers. And VAPoly brought me back home! 🤓👍 Right now VAMono is looping a 16 mumbling, muffed, bass line while VAPoly sounds like a pulsing, evanescent, flickering chipping. Both standalone. Thank you for the musicmaker!

Great concept but

Great sub sounds, cool pwm synth. Almost unusable on iphone in AUM via auv3 constant turning from landscape to portrait. Accessing the sequencer or mod sequencer is impossible in full screen landscape on iphone 12 max pro. Really want to use this and like it. I love your eq and channel strip. As a suggestion i know this is a mono synth but i think its ok to have stereo fx and even panning per oscillator. Chorus, ping pong delay? Also standalone crashes when you try to record a sequence and octave down the keyboard. Also recording automation should be write then immidiately touch upon loop. Staying writing is tricky to get back to the transport and stop recording. Also recording automation should be global and not have to turn certain elements on and off. The recorder could operate with a toggle for notes auotmation or both. Record notes and then grab knobs, hit the loop end and add new notes and grab new knobs

Thank you for your feedback. The issue of the user interface in AUM on iPhone and the issue of the crash are fixed on Version 1.0.8. I appreciate your suggestions for the improvements.
