Ratings and Reviews
When notified by email there is a new message in MY CHART and the link is followed, the option to use Touch ID to sign in is non existent making this very inconvenient.
Touch ID is nice when going directly to the app
Notified by phone today about an upcoming surgery. The date was given however times etc will be sent later, thus nothing in messages and no way to easily add to calendars other than manual.
I am especially happy to give 5 stars to the MYCHART service. I track most of my appointments and medical issues, as I have many, plus I also double check my prescription medications as I unfortunately need to use a lot here too. Your service makes my life easier!
If I can add an additional comment regarding VCU, I see many providers and have 100% confidence in them all. I respect their care and I appreciate their support. I also appreciate all of the staff, from the nurses, technicians, the customer service staff (check in/out, appointment schedulers) and especially your greeters who make the first impression. There are even a few at your Short Pump location that will let my wife, pull up , get me a wheelchair and go park while they wheel me to my scheduled appointments…no matter what floor they happen to be on. Now that’s a great first impression. Oh, due to my repeated visits they even know me by name. Wow, again what a first impression!
I just hope you will pass along my thanks.
Not an improvement
This wasn’t an improvement for VCU. Most of my providers and their nurses have said the change is a step back from the old Cerner system. It seems that messaging has become very difficult on the provider’s end, as sometimes it takes WEEKS to get a reply - apparently the providers aren’t even SEEING the messages until weeks later.
What’s more, not all of my visit information is readily visible through the app. I can’t see vitals and provider notes. A good portion of the features send you to the web - they’re not even available in the app.
Prescriptions can’t be refilled through the app, you have to send a message (which again, always seems to get lost. Never an issue with Cerner)
Messages can only get sent to one provider at a time which makes for horrible collaborative care. Lots of us getting care at VCU are there because we have multiple specialists that need to collaborate for a complicated condition.
So much needs to be fixed. Do better, Epic. Do better, VCU.
