Live stream buffering!

We use this camera as our baby monitor. Was working GREAT at first. I keep the app running all night long so I can see and hear our daughter. At first I started to loose sound. I logged in on a different device and there was still sound. So all I had to do was unplug and plug back in, the camera itself. Now, we are 4 months in and there is VERY bad buffering on the live stream. Nothing is different than when we first started using it. It will send the live stream perfect for maybe an hour or so, then it starts to buffer very bad, to the point all feedback just stops. I have to completely shut down the app and restart it to get it playing again. But it’s just a cycle of buffering and restarting the app. I’m not sure if this is a camera issue or an app issue, but it does this on all of our devices we have tried it on. I’m not thrilled, and I certainly don’t feel 100% safe with our baby not having an eye on her like I should.

It works great once you get it online.

The app software for Venture is not the most user friendly. So knowing how to use and setup is the key. When you go to setup the Venture home app you have to press the reset button which is located under the lens where you insert a memory card.

Once you reset the camera it’s fairly easy to walk through the process and setup the camera. I like the fact it is an internet based camera. Allowing to view the camera footage from any device with the app installed is absolutely genius. No complicated IP address setup. Just install the app, login from anywhere and see what’s going on at home. The camera works effortlessly 24/7 and even has night vision. Not bad for the price. I would give it 5 stars if the app and camera were more user friendly, but this is where a lot of people get stomped. As for me I like it and will be sticking with this camera for a long time. I like how it works.

After 2 years app started pushing ad before to viewing feed- insane for security camera!!

Bought 2 cameras for vacation home over 2 years and until recently I was pleased with the image quality and reliability especially for the price. However they recently pushed without my permission a change in the app which inserts an advertisement when it it opened. So now when I get a notification from one of the cameras and open the app to check things out I now have to navigate past an ad! Not something you want to waste your time doing when responding to a notification where time is of the essence should your house be getting broken into! This is not some free game with ads- I bought these cameras and now after 2 years they decide they want to generate more income from me via ads! I tried reaching out to Victure 2 times seeking info on how to disable the ads but they totally blew me off and did not respond. I am going to replace their cameras to solve this intrusion with another brand and I suggest others to not buy their products or do the same if getting ads pushed.
