Tried (read bought) this to add text to snagit videos. Unfortunately, hitting the space bar moves the browser down the page, which is not a fault of the product, just means that I can’t use this app for annotating videos beyond capturing keyboard shortcuts. I also couldn’t get the keystroke display to show on a second monitor which makes it dead in the water Will go back to the free Mouse Finder app.

Looks good, has interesting use cases for presentations and tutorials, provides good live-visual of keyboard & mouse input devices. Inexpensive and definitely worth a look if you commonly do live or recorded screencasts and want to highlight what real input looks like from devices.Edit: want to add one note. Tested only on Yosemite, but workflow for adding app to accessibility settings allowed list seems fairly unintuitive - had to add the app by going to the accessibility section and hitting the plus button, then pointing dialog box to Visualize app. Have a feeling that’s partially an OS X constraint and don’t count it against app dev, but think the slightly complex workflow would be a barrier for some users.

I originally gave this app a bad review because it didn't seem to work after I installed it and followed the setup instructions (added Visualize App to Security & Privacy -> Accessibility and restart the app). Once I REBOOTED if was FIXED and fully working. I really like how straightforward this app is. Works as expected.

Now that I'm having to teach remotely, this program is a godsend to help students understand what I'm doing when I'm teaching software over Zoom. Simple to set up and customize. Works perfectly with Catalina.
