Turn your iPhone into a full extension of your Vodia PBX and stay connected wherever you have a reliable internet connection. The Vodia app lets you make, receive, transfer, and manage calls from your mobile device while continuing to use one or more desk phones in parallel.
Handle calls with the features you expect from a business phone system: hold, transfer, mute, DTMF, speakerphone, handset, and Bluetooth audio support. The app also integrates with Apple Push Notification service so incoming calls can reach you even when the app is not open.
Stay in touch with colleagues through secure messaging, including text and image sharing. When SMS is enabled on the PBX, you can also send and receive messages with external contacts.
The app gives you direct access to key PBX features from your iPhone. View extension presence, see who is available, on Do Not Disturb, or currently in a call. Manage your own DND status manually or let the PBX control it automatically to support a better work-life balance. You can also review call history, access voicemail, listen to messages, and use the PBX address book directly from the app.
Setup is fast and simple. Install the app using a QR code from the PBX or a link from your invitation email. No manual username or password entry is required.
Requires iOS 26. Works with all supported Vodia PBX versions: 68, 69, and 70.
Still testing it but not liking the fact that one cannot change presence Available/Away status from the App. There is a way to set DND status but no ability to manage presence. Is this something users can expect soon?

Presence is a long story. For example, what is the presence state if you are on a call, and what if you are on DND. Our experience is that users don't want to spend much time on "programming" their presence state and they just want a quick DND button, especially on a mobile device.Because of this we have "rich" DND where you can specify a duration and a reason with the DND like "break", "holiday", or something on your own. On the iOS app we did not include the reason because the pop-up is already pretty big with all the possible durations and the dialog would become huge. We believe that the duration of DND is very important because users tend to forget to turn it off and then miss calls for days...With all that we have to keep in mind that we are still talking about a mobile app. Maybe the easiest solution would be a simple button that logs the user into the web interface on the browser, where all bells and whistles are available.

I do like being able to see who is available internally for a phone call. But the call quality when calling through the phone app is not great.

It's actually not so easy to figure out who is actually available, given the fact that users can use their mobile apps and the PBX wakes them up when needed (or not). Also for desktop phones showing the registration status is usually useless because they are always registered. As for call quality, when both ends are using the same codec (especially OPUS), the call quality should be pretty good. Call quality goes down when the PBX has to translate the codecs, e.g. when one side is using OPUS and the other one is using G.722 the quality indeed suffers significantly. The transition from app-world into the PSTN-world is specifically difficult.
Bad connections
Bad connection can’t hear
My phone calls cut in and out and people say they are not able to hear me. this only happens when using the app not regular phone calls through my phone.

The app depends on the internet protocol (VoIP = voice over internet protocol), while regular phone calls are done using switched networks. If the internet is bad, it will be hard to have a regular conversation.
