VoxSyn turns your voice into the most flexible vocal sound generator ever. Instantly following even subtle modulations of pitch and spectral changes of your voice VoxSyn creates signature vocal sounds far beyond traditional vocoding. Talk or sing into the microphone and you’ll trigger various synthesizer sounds following your voice pitch or the notes touched on the hexagonal keyboard / external MIDI Keyboard. The basic sounds are selected from a vast pool of predefined sounds from the famous TERA synthesis engine which can be further expanded by its unique random sound generator. The harmonic table note layout visualizes your voices pitch in realtime and also let you play notes for more traditional vocoder effects. VoxSyn is Audiobus compatible and can be used in the Input, Filter and Output slots in the Audiobus signal chain. The output can be recorded to an audio file which you can use with other Apps and programs for further processing. Lots of static on iPad Pro and iPhone X - there should have been info on this problem in the description. Works fine on older hardware, so not a total waste.

Mic issues

Tech Saavy Music Producer
Ive tried 3 different mics (headphone, dynamic, condenser) and i get static noise and pop in the audio. (No, my hardware is NOT the issue) The vocoding doesn't really kick in unless you push some noise into the mic, and then the static ticks are only worst for it. I initially bought it becuase inwas under the impression that it was a vocoder that didn't require having to play the keys while singing. It doesn’t seem to be the case despite some reviews i read that made it seem that way. The research i did was inconclusive in that regard however. Im trying to get a refund on this app. Unless they fix the mic bug for iPhone X and be clear on if I can vocode by just singing a melody into my headset or any other mic

The synth sounds are softer than the amped volume of the voice being used to generate sound. You lower the volume of the generator and of course even the synth is lower. The usability of this is an issue. It shouldn’t be that hard to figure out. Look for demos to be sure this is what you want before purchase. Edit: Apparently I have more controls to learn before I can give a fair review. Prior to this edit was an impression review.

This app has a wide range of presets or you can roll your own. Take input from the mic or use the app as an effect to transform the sound from other apps via Audiobus or an IAA host. Lots of creative possibilities open up for you when using this app.
