VVAE is a native client for V2EX, a Chinese-language community where developers, designers, and other creative people talk about programming, startups, gadgets, careers, and life. Think of it as a Hacker News for the Chinese-speaking tech world. Reading is free. VVAE Premium unlocks signing in (to reply, post, and more) and the AI assistant.
Most of V2EX is written in Simplified Chinese. VVAE's interface is in English, and the AI assistant replies in English, so it can sum up a long Chinese thread for you.
Browse the home feed and hot topics, explore nodes (V2EX's topic boards), search, and keep up with your notifications. Posts and replies are carefully typeset, so even long threads are easy to read. No gratuitous animations, no push alerts.
The AI assistant uses your own API key: summarize a whole thread, rank the answers in it, and ask follow-up questions. Choose from eight providers, including OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Ollama Cloud, and any OpenAI-compatible API.
Built for both iPhone and iPad: a familiar tab bar on iPhone and a true three-column layout on iPad.
