Wading
Talk your way into a language

Talk about your day. A few words at a time, the conversation becomes the language you're learning. No streaks, no guilt. Just water that slowly rises.
Wading is a conversation that starts in your language and, a few words at a time, becomes the one you're learning.
No lessons. No flashcards. No streaks. You chat with Wade about whatever you actually care about (your day, your work, what you cooked last night) and Wade slips words from your new language into the conversation where context makes them guessable. Tap any word for its meaning. Use it yourself, and it starts becoming yours.
HOW IT WORKS
• Talk. Wade is a good conversation partner first and a teacher second, quietly.
• Words seep in. The conversation starts around 5% in your new language and rises only as fast as you absorb it, never more than a notch above what you've shown you know.
• Everything counts, nothing feels like a test. Tapping a word, understanding a reply and saying a word yourself all tell Wade where you are.
• Words become yours. Each word and phrase moves from introduced to recognized, understood, producing and finally owned. Then the highlight disappears: it's just your word now.
• Been away? No guilt. Wade notices which words have faded, eases the conversation back a little and brings them up again naturally.

PLAY

SPEAK

YOUR WORDS, YOUR PROGRESS
• Every word you've met, where you met it and every time you said it
• A daily word on your Home Screen widget and, if you want, a gentle notification. Or choose "No nudges, ever."
• Progress built only from what you've said, never from what you haven't: no percentages, no scores to fall behind on
• A monthly letter from Wade
