We've updated our name but we're still the same bank you trust!
Washington Federal is launching a simplified name and logo. The previous version served us well for many years but didn’t emphasize who we are, what we do, or the service we provide in our eight-states. Our solution? Become WaFd Bank. We like the sound of it and hope you do, too.
We continue to enhance our app to deliver the features you use most:
• Review balances and account activity
• Set alerts so that you don’t miss a thing
• Send & receive money using a mobile number or email address
• Transfer funds between your accounts
• Schedule payments with complimentary Bill Pay

This app has come a long way in the years I’ve been using it. I loved the ability to see instant balances, and the increased functionality of the bill pay has been awesome. My o ley complaint right now is that I’ve been unable to use Face/Touch ID for the last several months. I thought maybe it was being blocked by my VPN or had something to do with my connection. I’ve tried turning off VPN which totally defeats the purpose and I have tried on both mobile data and WiFi. No change. Please fix this!

This app has been a really huge hassle for me since day one. Having to log in, provide a finger print and answer a security question has landed me locked out of my account several times. Please add an option to pick a different security question or to reset my password without having to call customer service or log onto my computer. I so enjoy my local branch of WAFD but this app is truly terrible!
When they first rolled out the update they had only four or five security questions and you had to come up with an answer to each one, even ones that make no sense to you. Then when making a deposit after clearing out cookies on your phone, you would be required to answer a question and if you couldn’t answer in three tries you were out. They have since gone back to the old longer list to choose from. Still had to answer one to complete a deposit. I’ll bet they have a lot of people trying to sneak money into other accounts so they had to step up the security.
