Wait! puts one breath between you and the apps you open on autopilot. Set it in front of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube — whichever it is for you — and the next time you tap that app, Wait! appears first. Four seconds in, six seconds out, and then one plain question: still want to open it?
Close it and take the moment back. Or carry on — calmly, on purpose. Either way, you decided.
That's the whole idea. Not a wall you'll climb over by Tuesday, but a doorway you notice again. Most autopilot opens don't survive a single breath.
HOW IT WORKS
Wait! gets in front of your apps through Apple's own Shortcuts app: one small personal automation per app, set up once with Wait!'s picture-by-picture guide. Websites are covered by the Wait! extension for Safari. Prefer a firmer hand? A delayed guard gives an app a few minutes, then closes over it until you take a breath again. Nothing runs in the background, and nothing watches what you do.
