Exactly what I wanted
I've had this app for almost 2 years now and love it . After using it for a while I ended up purchasing the No Ads version . Recently I had my first issue with it when it 'froze' . I removed it from my iPhone XS and downloaded it again, but the ads were back and I had no idea how to get rid of them . I contacted the developer and heard back from him within just a few hours. Problem solved! So , if you are looking for an app that is strictly a register this is the one! The math is done for you and is always absolutely correct, once you start entering your data it starts to 'remember' and can auto-fill, you can enter more than one account , and Customer Support is there when you need it.
Very small things to add….
I LOVE this ledger. I used another one for literal years and switched from it to this one. What I love is you can literally check off entries as they clear and it gives you both actual balance and cleared balance. Makes balancing this app and my actual account so much easier. It’s just super simple to use. You can also automatically transfer funds from one account to another within one entry instead of manually subtracting from one account and manually adding to another. Love that. The TWO things I REEEALLLLYYYY wish it could do those is 1. Search for an individual entry amount. Sometimes if my balance is off between the app and my actual account and I see a transaction in my actual bank account that I’m not sure I entered in this ledger, I wish I could just search a simple price. “5.94”. Sometimes I accidentally enter transactions twice or whatever and I overlook it when trying to balance. My old ledger app could do this. Also, I wish when entering a date on a transaction it showed as an actual little monthly calendar with days of the week as opposed to scrolling to enter a date.
app is almost perfect
the devs have done a great job at designing g an app that is simple, with no linking to your bank or tracking your spending habits and stuff. i don’t have any need for that. i just want a running balance, and this fits the bill perfectly. HOWEVER: it could be improved just slightly by adding a search option. it would be excellent if i could search by date, amount, or keyword. the reason for this is that i accidentally hit the year roller to “2023”. so the transaction disappeared waaaayyyyyyy down to the june of 2023. i’ve been using this app for 2-ish years, so there’s THOUSANDS of transactions, and it’s not possible to scroll back through all of them. so i had to add a a fake deposit to compensate for the transaction i lost. this would have been so much easier to fix if i could just search for the transaction amount, the date that i accidentally banished it to, or “etsy.” other than that, everything’s great
