I’m done, WA lottery ruins a good app
The only way to scan your tickets now is by signing up and logging in! Why would the Lottery do this? This is an invasion into our privacy and needs to stop now!
They fixed the app so you no longer have to sign in to scan tickets, however, I still rate this app -1, because after scanning your game ticket the app only tells you that you lost, that’s it. Sorry you’re a losser! I want to see my numbers that match the official numbers highlighted, it’s a way to know your numbers were actually checked. It also lets you know how many matches you got! I don’t trust this app or the lottery commission since they have messed up this app. Government needs to be transparent, this app is a spying, non-transparent government tracking tool. If you demand privacy and want to enjoy your lottery games don’t waste your time with this app. Washington lottery commission needs to overhaul their leadership and terminate their app development team! 😡🤬🤮
No more tickets for me!!!!
I’m sophisticated enough to understand the lottery games are...at best...a tax on people who are dumb at maths. I have played any way, even though my understanding of combinations & permutations means winning unlikely.
When it was simple to scan my tickets on my phone & get near instant feedback, I played the game. Now you want my bio & give me less feedback. My state is stupid to undermine the games with such undesirable features that invade my privacy & make me hate the process. So now, when I want to throw a little money away, I’ll go to one of the nearby casinos. Dumb, dumber, dumberer.
And other states like Colorado, the governments spend their lottery tax earnings on infrastructure that people can see...but not here. I’m done giving $ to Washington via the lottery.
Decent before the most current update
Before the most current update you did not have to be signed in to check your ticket. Plus the older version of the app showed you your ticket numbers even if it wasn’t a winner. The updated version of the app you have to have an account and be signed in to scan your ticket. Once your ticket is scanned the updated version just says “Sorry, your not a winner”, it doesn’t show you your numbers on your ticket like the previous version. I like comparing my physical ticket numbers to what the app shows to make sure there’s not a mistake. Disappointed that that feature was changed. Probably won’t be buying as many tickets in the future.
