WeatherView

Forecasts for everyday plans

Free

Plan your next outing with clear forecasts, precipitation radar and activity-sized weather windows. Free, without ads or an account. WeatherView helps you turn a forecast into an everyday plan. See forecast estimates for the current hour, hourly temperatures and precipitation, and the daily outlook. Rain chances appear where supplied; otherwise the app shows forecast precipitation amounts. Explore precipitation radar on a native map. In North America, check recent observations and short-range projections where government radar coverage is available. The controls show the actual remaining time ahead; projections move existing echoes and cannot predict new storms or how rain will grow or fade. Choose an outdoor activity, duration and daylight or night preference. WeatherView compares the complete outing and suggests up to three suitable windows in the next 48 hours, with reasons based on feels-like temperature, precipitation and wind. Review a suggested outing in Apple’s calendar editor and choose whether to save it, with an optional reminder. WeatherView cannot read your calendar. Save the places you care about and switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Your saved places and preferences stay on your device. Your last successful forecast is available when offline and is labelled as saved. Current planning suggestions and radar need an internet connection. No account, subscription or ads. Forecast estimates are provided by MET Norway, normalized by WeatherView. Activity recommendations are calculated using Visual Crossing, with MET Norway as a fallback. Place search uses GeoNames. Radar uses Environment Canada / NOAA in North America. Official warnings are available for supported countries. Forecasts can change: check the latest conditions and your national weather service before going out.
