Banking with Wells Fargo

I’ve been a Wells Fargo account holder for a bit over 16 years now and have NEVER had an issue finding anything I needed on the app..
The most recent review was dated in March this year, all the others have been older..more than a year.. so I’m assuming all the issues they speak of like finding transactions, who and when they were made, fraud dept, etc have been addressed.
The first, there have been 5 times I believe, my account has been hacked/compromised Wells Fargo has been on top of it from the git go. Except the time the gal wanted to know if I wanted my debit card left open to see if it was paid.. I told her no, close it and she did.. But the best advice I ever had from a banker was to turn off my overdraft option.. He said if someone could get into my account they would deplete my entire account.. and that if I did online banking to open a separate account, attached to my original one, that no one but me could access.. It does not require a minimum amount to keep open.. It has been a godsend.
That account was started when the teller at my local office ask me if I wanted to open a Save As You Go account.. each time I use my debit card a dollar goes into that account.. I have since added a separate savings account to that account..Those $$’s soon add up, and I use that as Mad Money or addition to my vacation $$..
So you get no argument about Wells Fargo.. Great bank, great people working there..

Professional & Courteous

Been banking w Wells Fargo over 3 years now and have always been treated like a five star customer even though my bank account is not in the same ball park as some high investors or high ranking deposits in fact I’m low income and my deposits are limited and I’ve had many over drafts and been a victim of fraud due to the fact my atm card has been stolen and used on a few occasions that really set me back Wells Fargo has always been there for me and helped bring my account back up to my current deposit amount afte the money was stolen. I can’t thank them enough for they’re helped me out of very difficult times and they were able to recoup my losses and credit my account which was a huge relief for me financially I would have been in the hole w no money to pay my rent and bills thank goodness they were able and willing to switch back the fraudulent charges and even cover my overdraft fees that were incurred. Their fraud team is exceptional and knows how to spot the problems and immediately deal w its infractions and concurrent issues which seem to hit my account more than once. Thank You Wells Fargo Bank for being there for me when most banks would turn away my issues of concern and loss you have been there to help and support me seeing to it in a most efficient and timely manner I’m truly grateful and thankful for your service. Keep up the good work of customer service and support!

Good but could be better

I have been with BOA since 1996 and just recently switched to Wells Fargo! I was not happy with the customer service from BOA and their lack of regard for my business. The only thing good about BOA was their mobile app! The layout is amazing and it’s super easy to use. With WF there is much more clicking and going back to previous pages to get to another tab. It makes it easy to forget where to go for information. There are some drawbacks with WF. $300 max atm withdrawals. Yikes!! I know you are worried about Fraud but let’s come to a better number. BOA -$600. Being a new customer with WF, they placed a 14 day hold on my initial deposit. That includes weekends. With that being said, I still would prefer WF with their competitive rates and additional products. Getting back to the app... The development team should take a look at how BOA designed their mobile app. Using the term BillPay is helpful because they just have a tab called transfer and pay. Again, u have to select from the drop down tab to find this stuff. Can’t you remove the tabs from the bottom and replace with common things people use while browsing the app? Way too much clicking in my opinion. Lastly, transactions should be easier to find and updated after a purchase. Need to fix this because it can throw people off with their balances. Don’t lose sight of improving the app. You are still lagging with having it more intuitive!!! More tabs and less clutter.
