Whistly is a location-based social signal platform that lets you send and receive real-time alerts (push notifications), and events in your selected vicinity. The application transforms community awareness by allowing people to share what's happening around them - from natural events like northern lights sightings to safety concerns in your neighbourhood, wild animals spotted nearby, a garage sale down the street, and local happenings.
Unlike traditional social media that relies on following people, or groups, Whistly lets users follow types of events in specific, selected locations, creating dynamic, location-aware information networks from your street to nearby real-time locations, or anywhere in the world.

Choose the signal types you care about (lost pets, street concerts, rainbows, tornados, other natural phenomenas, gifting free items on your driveway, and more). Post your own signals to alert others. Browse your feed to stay informed about what's unfolding in your chosen areas.

• Set your area anywhere on the map - from a few kilometres to worldwide - and only hear about what's relevant to you.
• Stay informed - your feed shows only what's relevant around the locations you choose. See what's happening on your street, in your neighbourhood, or anywhere in the world.
• Post signals - share what you're seeing with your community in seconds and add photos.
• Stay hidden - Use fuzzy location mode to hide your position when you post with a ~500m random offset.
• Stay anonymous - post without revealing your identity when you prefer privacy.
