WildMap is the dedicated hunting map for Australian hunters — the map that tells you, at a glance, whether the land in front of you is public or private, what species are in season, and exactly where you're standing.
Built for the field: fast, map-first, and fully usable without mobile data. Cache your hunting area at home over Wi-Fi, then head into the bush knowing the map still works when the bars run out.
KNOW THE LAND
• Cadastral land tenure — colour-coded property boundaries across Victoria, NSW and Tasmania. Tap a parcel in Victoria for owner and tenure-type lookup, so you can tell freehold from Crown before you cross a fence.
• Public land at a glance — Crown land, State Forest and reserves are colour-coded against freehold, so you can read public ground from private the moment you open the map.
• Victoria GMA zones — Game Management Authority overlays with species tables (sambar, hog deer, fallow deer, duck, and pest species). Know what's in season before you leave the truck.
• NSW State Forests — declared R-Licence hunting forests with booking categories, the eleven huntable species, seasons and bag limits, and direct DPIRD booking links.
• Tasmania — Game Reserve boundaries with curated species seasons, bag limits and permitted methods, plus land-tenure and huntable-tenure overlays.
• Waterway and track labels — rivers, streams, and 4WD tracks labelled directly on the map, so you can plan a route in and a way out.
• Alpine huts and camping grounds — discover shelters and camp spots across the Victorian high country, with GPS coordinates and details.
PLAN THE HUNT
• Weather forecast and wind compass — current conditions and hourly wind direction at your location. Plan your approach downwind and keep the breeze in your face.
• 3D terrain — tilt the map to read spurs, gullies and faces before you climb them. Slope-angle analysis highlights dangerously steep grades.
• Distance measure and area draw — measure a walking distance or calculate the size of a block directly on the map.
MARK, TRACK AND RECORD
• GPS tracking — record your walk-in and walk-out routes automatically, then review your tracks on the map.
• Waypoints — drop pins for glassing spots, harvest sites, water, gates and parking, and colour-code them by category.
• Harvest log — record every animal taken with species, date, location and notes.
• Field notes with photos — attach photos and text to any location and keep a record of what you found.
WORKS OFFLINE, SYNCS WHEN YOU'RE BACK
• Offline map tiles — cache your hunting area before heading out; the map works without mobile data.
• Sign in to sync — create a free account to sync your waypoints, tracks, notes and harvest records across your iPhone and iPad. Prefer not to sign in? The app works without an account too.
