Workmuch automatically logs how much you work, hour by hour, every day. No manual entires required.
Draw a circle around where you work. From then on, your hours track themselves: workmuch logs the moment you arrive and the moment you leave, deducts the breaks you're entitled to, and adds it up. You never open the app to start a timer, because there is no timer to start.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life. workmuch uses region monitoring rather than continuous tracking, which iOS handles with minimal power draw.
Background location: workmuch requires "Always" location access to log arrivals and departures while the app is closed: this is the entire feature. Location is used only to detect crossings of the single workplace boundary you set. Your position is never recorded or transmitted; the workplace you choose is kept in your own private iCloud so your setup follows you to a new iPhone.
