Learning a new language can be daunting with its complexities. Even with a solid grasp of grammar, achieving fluency requires a broad vocabulary. With the Wunderbar app, seamlessly incorporate new words into your daily routine across multiple languages by using the spaced-repetition algorithm.
Spending 8 hours a day on your Mac means exposing yourself to 480 fresh words daily in your chosen language! These words are carefully selected based on their frequency of use, ensuring rapid comprehension as you master the language. If you're familiar with the word, simply click "I already know this word!" to avoid seeing it again. If you want to hear how the word is pronounced, simply click the play button next to the example sentence. If you would like to open the app automatically, every time you turn on your Mac, click the checkbox next to "Launch at Login".

Love this app!
App works extremely well, developer is very responsive for support, and they even implemented a feature request I had to add Portuguese support very quickly. At $4 you can't beat it!
Great idea, app needs work
Even after downloading (and selecting) some premium and enhanced German voices, the app playback still sounds robotic and tinny. The 'I already know this word' button doesn't display any text unless I open Spotlight with the keyboard shortcut—very strange. There's no way to view or edit known words; I accidentally clicked the button twice on a given word and never had a chance to see the second word, so I don't know if I know it or not. It would also be nice if there could be a soundbite for the word by itself instead of playing the entire example sentence. [edited] Added a star after some prompt fixes

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. I released a new update that includes an improvement for the voice quality. I also added a new button to only listen to the word. Editing the known words is on my list but it requires more time.
