Great with a company who cares

After writing the below review, the developers contacted me to see what the issues were. They asked for screenshots and further description, and were very happy to get the feedback. Why? So they could make the app better for all of us. I’m sure the issues I found will be fixed soon. Play this app now. And love it, knowing the developers really care about the user experience.

Old review:
Mostly a great app. Stories are funny, voice works mostly perfectly. But the lack of clarity of what it takes to earn more stories coupled with many stories not showing the full text on screen is making me regret my purchases. Play the free ones and then find a new app until they update this one enough.

Each Story Collection comes with 12 stories, of which six are initially locked. The more you play, the faster stories will get unlocked. If you find that, for some reason, your stories aren’t unlocking, please reach out to us at the email below and we’ll attempt to rectify the problem.

We’d also love any screenshots you can share showing words being cut off. We’ve tested YakLibs on nearly every device out there and believe this is not a problem for most users. Please include your device info with your screenshots.

Funny stories.

Awesome. It has funny stories that make me laugh. One thing that I ask though is that. Please make at least a couple more stories for free. I know that a lot of them are for free. But there are some story collections that have to be purchased. And I was just asking if you could make some story collections for free. And that customizable voice part. If you could also make that for free. That would be great.

can’t unlock stories

The app is good and kids enjoy it. But after I purchased 2 story collections, I could only access part of each collection. Half the collection remains locked, and it says I must purchase the collection to get them. But I already paid, and I’ve already “restored purchases” several times. Not worth the $1 if I don’t get all the stories in the collection.

Update: after contacting the company, they generously offered me some free replacement puzzles. I still don’t understand how the puzzles become unlocked—they said the mad-lib answers need to be creative to earn more points to unlock puzzles, but I’m playing this with a 6-year-old… Anyway, thank you, Yak Libs, for the prompt response and freebies!

But we assure you they unlock fairly quickly as you play. So keep enjoying the app and you’ll see all of those stories become available.
