A whole year of moods in 24×16 cells, on one screen. Pick a color for each day; writing a line is optional. Export the year as a single image.
Year in Color is a diary written in color.
Paint one cell a day. Write a line if you feel like it, or leave it a plain block of color. All 24×16 cells fit on one screen and form a complete rectangle — that rectangle is your year.
Made for people who want to track how they feel without keeping a long journal.
HOW IT WORKS
· Open the app and you see the whole year: 12 months stacked top to bottom, 2 rows and 32 cells each.
· Tap today or any day in the past, pick a color, save. Future days can't be tapped.
· Want to say more? Write one line under the color. Skipping it is completely fine.
· Tap a cell you've already painted to see the color, its name and what you wrote. You can edit or clear it any time.
FREE CELLS
Each month has a few extra cells at the end — dates like February 30th that don't exist, plus the last cell that rounds the month out to 32. One rule: once that month is over, the cell unlocks and you can paint and write in it freely.
YOUR OWN PALETTE
A set of preset colors is built in, and you can add your own with the color picker, name them, then reorder or delete them whenever you like.
Each cell stores a snapshot of the color value and its name, so however you rearrange your palette later, past days never change color or name.
LOOKING BACK
Switch years with the arrows at the top, as far back as you want. A past year is entirely in the past, so you can fill in and rewrite any of it.
EXPORT ONE PICTURE
Render the year as an image and send it anywhere through the system share sheet.
YOUR ACCOUNT AND YOUR DATA
Sign in with Apple to keep your year on this device under your account. Your entries stay on the device — there is no feed, no sharing to a server. You can sign out at any time, and deleting your account removes that account's entries from the device along with it.
Sharing uses the system share sheet, so no extra permissions are needed.
Not in this version: daily reminders, mood statistics, cloud sync. It just wants to sit quietly and be a picture.
