Zazen Meditation Timer 4+

I’m grateful for this app. Nice sound, simple and easy to use. My one criticism is that there is not audible signal to the end of kinhin. So, unless your looking at you phone during kinhin you won’t know its time to sit again until the bell is already ringing. Perhaps a taku signal and then another 20 sec settling period before the second Zazen bell would be better.
It would also be nice to be able to customize how many sits and kinhins there are, perhaps in the future?

The simplicity, sounds, and ability to customize the app are fantastic. However, there have been a couple of times recently where the timing stopped for me during the kinhin portion. The bell rings to signal the beginning of kinhin, then at some point during kinhin the timing stops and the screen goes to the “Close Zendo” portion. This is a significant fault that, one hopes, will not happen for others or will be fixed in an update.

Thank you for this app, which is simple and beautiful for Soto Zen practice. One improvement would be to let the bells sound even when the device is in silent mode. That way you could hear the bells without having to worry about incoming text or email notifications.
