Fantastic app

Honestly it’s a near perfect app. Easy to use, intuitive, and simple. There aren’t a bunch of features and tools to get lost in, its very straightforward and does exactly what you need, and is very easy to look at too.
My sole suggestion would be to add a 24 hour option.
As someone who provides one on one English lessons over video calls to students all around the world having this available to slide around and see exactly what the time is makes it so easy. I tell all my students to just remind me their city and then use their time. I would gladly pay a monthly subscription for this app.

Thank you for the awesome review! Its so nice to hear from happy users. Yes the 24hr is a bug that we have not had a chance to address. This is top on the fix list in our next release. A pro tip: if you want to customize the app you can go to "Settings" > "World Clock" and find a couple extra options to fine tune your experience. Thanks and tell your friends if they need a world clock app.

Great app, but has a bug and some requests

I really like the app, the UI, and the fact that it tells you how many hours ahead or behind a city is from your current location and time. However, I have found one bug, and I have some feature requests (I paid for the pro option).

Bug: When you launch the app, it sets itself to the current time based on the time the iPad/Phone says it is, for example 1:18pm. However, as the time changes to 1:19 pm, it doesn’t update itself. In addition, even if you advance the time with the slider, and then press the red button to snap it back to the current time, it will snap back to 1:18pm even if the time is now 1:20pm etc.

Feature Request:

(1)iPad universal app version so it fills my entire iPad screen.

Pro Feature Requests:

(2)15 minute intervals (1:30, 1:45, 2:00 etc.) on the slider, or even better, by the minute intervals (1:46, 1:47, 1:48 etc.). Perhaps these two options could be a time interval preference setting.

(3)An easy way to advance to a future date. For instance, if today is February 12, and I want to instantly advance to October 10th, there is no quick and easy way to do this. I was hoping the Calendar button would do this for me, but it does not.

(4) A switch that can be toggled on so that sunrise and sunset times are set automatically for each city in my list, based on the current sunrise/set times for each city. People who want to set these times to business hours instead can toggle the switch off.

Thanks!

Thanks for the super thorough review and suggestions. It is so awesome to hear from users and get feedback on what works and doesn't work. Let me try to address your points.

The app does in fact keep track and tick the minutes forward as it stays open and will update the current time if you set it to background and bring it back up. You can try this by leaving it to go on a couple minutes. It does not however keep in exact sync with the phone time when it ticks over a minute.

iPad versions of apps are time consuming and with our current growth it would not be economical to add this yet.

The increment configuration sounds like a great idea. There are some options in your iPhone Settings > World Clock that can be configured but this is not one yet. Will add it to our requested feature list.

Advancing to future date can be a pro feature that can be considered right now is only a week advance.
Sunset sunrise time based on actual times would be a really cool feature that came up in development but never materialized. This is definitely already on the future feature list.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts and I hope you still find Zen World Time useful.

The best way to track and plan across time zones!

I only wish I had found this app earlier; in my work I was always trying to plan zoom meetings across many time zones. Now I am retired and my life is simpler but I still have family both across the US and overseas. The app on my iPhone is not only extremely easy to use and customize but it’s incredibly elegant, easily allowing me to see the implication for everyone of picking a time here! And as a bonus - it readily migrated to my iWatch and shows as an app on the watch face. Astounding!
