Intermittent fasting benefits:

During a fast, your body will rid of waste materials inside the cells and dead cells themselves while repairing and rebuilding new stronger cells.

Gene expression is something that happens where your body experiences changes in genes, cells and molecules directly related to life span and disease prevention.

Fasting can help improve insulin sensitivity, which has been shown to help lose more body fat and/or store less body fat from the food taken in.

This can help to regulate body composition, body fluids, muscle and bone growth, sugar and fat metabolism, and possibly heart function.

Fasting has been shown to directly bump levels of testosterone in men due to helping our androgen receptors, which contributes to increasing testosterone.

All of the above can already help you lose body fat and drop some pounds. But one of the biggest drivers in intermittent fasting that is leading to weight loss is the fact that it’s easier to adhere to a caloric deficit on a daily basis.

Due to the bodies natural hormonal boosts, insulin improvement and survival mechanisms, your metabolism can actually bump up and become faster due to intermittent fasting.

Intermittent fasting was shown to help improve oxidative stress and inflammation in the body.

Some studies were done showing that intermittent fasting may actually help improve cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure, and inflammatory markers.

Fasting has been shown to help in the regeneration of cells which could be a possible aid in preventing or helping manage cancer.

Intermittent fasting has been shown to help aid the GI tract in digestion and also protect your gut bacteria, both due to the anti-inflammatory benefits of fasting.

Evon B ,

Thank you so much for this simple beautiful and very useful tool!!! I find by fasting 6pm-8am my glucose levels are much lower in the mornings and I’m cutting my insulin use almost in half. And losing at least 1-3 pounds a week. Starting the day with an almost normal glucose encourages me to better watch and control my eating through the day. You’ve helped me realize that I can do this... I don’t have to give up and succumb to this disease that slowly but surely was taking over my life. Who would have thought that such a simple and easy tool would have made the biggest difference I’ve seen in the past 5 years fighting this enemy called diabetes.
Keep up the good work and thank you so much for not going the way the “other” easy fasting app of getting complicated and adding to much. I love this app, I hope others find it as helpful as I do.
Thanks and may GOD richly bless you.

Great App for Tracking Fasts!!

Update: the dev responded with a fix. Now the app doesn’t lag between screens anymore. Oh, happy day! As promised, I have added the fifth star. Thank you for the quick response to my review!

I love how easy this app is to use. Very quick to set it up and get going with tracking your fasting windows. I love how it lets you know what stage of fasting you’re in so you can track how your body is responding to the fasts and how it explains what each stage is. The only problem I have with it is that it is sometimes very laggy going between screens and when first opening the app. I paid for the ad-free version and I feel like maybe this is where the ads would normally be? Either way, it’s a lesson in patience to switch between screens. If it weren’t for this drawback, I’d give the app five stars!!

Simple and effective

If you don’t like crowded apps that ask you to pay for 95% of what they offer and you don’t mind the occasional ad - then this is a fantastic app!!

Personally, I love apps that do what they advertise as simple as possible (which is why I usually don’t pay for apps) and this one is simple and to the point. When you begin your profile it gives you some info on the fasting methods so that you can choose the one that best fits your needs. It’s also super easy to keep track of your fasts and if you forget to click “stop/begin fasting” you can go back and edit your times so they match your actual fasts.

There is the occasional ad, which I do not mind because it’s not overly done and the ads on the bottom never cover the content for me.
