It’s a bit overwhelming at first, but one you add your card info, it’s easy to place an order. There is a long line in front of me, I pulled out my phone and placed an order while standing in line. When I finally got to the front, my drink was done!! Love using this app. PLUS, the Coupons are great.

For the most part, it’s easy to use. You pick your drink, choose your options, and pay. But there are glitches.

One, even though it will take your order when the app shows the store is open, it actually will refund you if you place an order within 30mins of the store opening. I placed an order at 11:10am since the store was open. But I was automatically refunded because their stores actually don’t accept online ordering until after 11:30 am EVEN THOUGH the app allows it. So I lost my 10% coupon.

And adding a coupon has to be done on a different tab. You have to redeem first and then go back to the payment tab and add the coupon.

Do not use their digital wallet to load money. They do not refund you the difference when you are below $10 which is illegal in the state of california and resulted in a successful suit against Starbucks for the same practice. I have $4 stuck in the app, not enough to pay for any of their drinks, and they do not allow hybrid payment. I wrote to them asking for a refund of the $4, no response. The only way to use it is reload more money, but then there will be another remaining balance you can never fully spend. Despicable and illegal.
