With the zigfred app, you can set up your zigfreds and connected smart home devices according to your preferences. After the set up you can easily control them with your smartphone. In no time at all, you customize the functions of your zigfred's front buttons.
Replace your old light switch with zigfred and wire it to your existing lights or devices. Then control the connected lights with the zigfred app or with your existing smart home solution.
With zigfred, you can also add other compatible lights and devices to your smart home network and control them with the app, such as Philips Hue or IKEA Tradfri.
In a nutshell:
• You can freely assign the functions of your zigfred's buttons and "virtually wire" your home as you wish.
• You can control zigfred and many other zigbee devices with this app via Bluetooth Low Energy*.
• You can use zigfred as a standalone Zigbee gateway or use your existing compatible gateway**.
• You can control zigfred directly from the Philips Hue app or by voice***.
• You can integrate existing conventional lamps into your Philips Hue network***.

Updated built-in software libraries.
Improved UI of zigfred details.
1.5.11 Jan 31
This version contains an improved scanner for zigbee devices, updates to the newest software libraries and it bundles firmware 32, which allows updating zigfreds to the newest firmware even when your mobile device has no internet connection.
1.5.10 06/24/2025
Pressing conventional light switches in a scheme 3/6 or pulse mode circuit at a dimmer output of zigfred can now trigger additional actions (similar to the button assignments). E.g. it is possible to control other remote lights and zigfreds, or to start a timer. Conventional light switches are now therefore even smarter!
Buttons (and scheme 3/6 or pulse mode triggers) can now be assigned timers. E.g. it is possible now to automatically turn off your staircase lights after a certain amount of time.
The fading times (transition times) can now be set manually for light outputs and button assignments.
The blinds can now also be controlled via the light endpoints from a Zigbee gateway. This makes it possible to control blinds with a Philips Hue Bridge. This option is disabled by default.
Light color and temperature can now be controlled with the buttons, scheme 3/6 and pulse mode triggers, as well as the clock timer.
zigfred now supports a clock timer (including day of week and time saving support), for which any function can be assigned.
Improved compatibility with electronic pulse mode switches at the dimmer channel of zigfred plus and uno.
The blind output channels on zigfred plus for up & down can now be switched via the app, so one does not have to rewire in case of a wiring mixup.
Blinds can now be controlled with minimal delay similar to a conventionel interlocked blind switch. Just configure the step time to "direct" in the button settings.
zigfreds with a firmware update in progress are no longer disconnected, if there are stronger connections available nearby. This eases firmware updates on zigfreds within a multipanel.
