Description
Eat brains. Don't get shotgunned.
Based on the hit dice game . . . but now the dice, and a zombie opponent, are in your iPhone!
You're a zombie, racing to be the first to eat 13 yummy human brains. But those humans fight back. Press your luck. Keep rolling, keep collecting brains . . . but if you get three shotguns, you're out!
Enjoy the zombie animations and sound effects (Braaaaaaaiiinnnns!). The zombie will talk back to you after every roll. But beware of his advice, because just like a human opponent, he wants you to LOSE!

Ratings and Reviews
Frustrated with the bugs
Brilliant game overall, and though I like many things about this digital version such as the zombies voice and the overall simplicity, there are just too many problems to make it worth playing. I even paid for the upgraded version and my achievements are still not unlocking as they should be. Ways to make this more enjoyable would be getting the achievements working (and maybe even add more achievements to give the game some longevity, adding additional statistics to log and track, letting us have more control over the dice (forces a reroll when you don’t score brains which I don't see anywhere in the original rule book), perhaps different zombie skins to play against, and explain somewhere what the Game Center nickname is, how it effects the game, and make it so that it remembers your selection so that you don’t have to reselect it every time. I’m not too savvy with modern tech so I’m sure some of the fault here lies on me, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement to make it more user friendly and less clunky. Overall, I think this is a really amazing game and I hope it gets the love and attention it deserves. Meanwhile, I will be feasting on the brains from my hardcopy of the game and checking back here for updates. Please don’t overlook the potential of this digital version of a masterpiece dice game!!!
Great fun, but weak IAP
It's a great game to kill time or have a blast with friends. Just tonight I had a couple drinks and played a few rounds with some friends with a lot if laughs. I only have one problem with it.
If you want to play with real people or additional AIs you need to pay $1 to upgrade from the free version. Not a big deal, but you do this through an in-app-purchase that in my case did it carry over between devices. So if want to play a quick round with friends I either need to have my iPad or spend another dollar to upgrade my phone's copy.
I know it's not a big purchase, but I always hate spending money on something I already bought.
Disappointed
I only have the free version, and I've only played 12 games, but in those 12 times I've lost all but 2 of the matches -- and those losses weren't close by any means. I realize that dice results are randomized (like in the real world), such that one could really have such bad luck to consistently roll poorly, but when I'm not touching the physical dice myself, it feels like there's more at work than simply the arbitrary nature of dice themselves :-/.
The zombie players seemed to always run by the rule of "roll until you get two shotgun blasts", and that worked well; not only did they usually get the small gains (1-3 brains), but they also got the huge gains (5-8 brains) too often. I, on the other hand, tried to also observe the "roll until you get two shotgun blasts" rule and suffered for it. More times than not, I would have a single shotgun blast, think that it's safe to roll again and immediately get 2 more blasts. And then, of course, there were the lovely times of rolling well to start with 2 or 3 brains and then immediately getting a roll with 3 blasts.
Now, in all fairness, if I would sit down and play many more games perhaps the win/loss ratio would begin to even out, but this heavily skewed beginning leaves me completely disinclined to attempt that stretch goal. This is the first time I've encountered an iOS game where I even began to consider the possibility of weighted dice … and consequently I probably won't be picking it up again :-(.
