What we love: Building a powerful team of allies. The adorable Blue Shieldra reduces damage, for instance, while the ferocious Ruby Dragon changes heart orbs to red ones so you can easily line up huge combos. With over 300 creatures, the game offers plenty of variety. Mix and match to see what works best for you!

Quick tip: Strategize before marching into battle. Spot a blue elemental affinity on a level? Make sure to have green creatures on your team to take advantage of their weakness. Don’t be discouraged if you lose—you’ll retain any crystal fragments scooped up from downed foes!

Meet the creator: Tokyo-based GungHo Online Entertainment released the Puzzle & Dragons franchise in 2012. The studio also co-developed the real-time card battler Teppen with Capcom, featuring iconic Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and Resident Evil characters.
