Game night just got real!

Blebrity, the hilarious trivia game by actor and activist Jesse Williams, is more than a fun activity to enjoy with friends and family. It’s also a joyful celebration of black culture and the creatives behind it.

“There really wasn’t a representative presence in the black gaming space,” Williams says. “We created what we wanted and didn't see.”

Blebrity packs over 30 categories of pop-culture trivia.

Blebrity is similar to other charades-style games. Pick a category, place your iPhone on your forehead, and try to guess the word on the screen as other players shout clues at you. If you guess right, flip the iPhone down to give yourself a point.

In terms of party game subject matter, however, Blebrity breaks new ground. Categories include Bad and Bougie: Things Bougie Black Folks Love; Dance Moves: Soul Train; and, Williams’ favorite two, Momma Phrases and ’80s Babies. Each has dozens, if not hundreds, of prompts to keep you going round after round.

Place your iPhone on your forehead and try to guess the word as your friends shout clues to you.

“We simply committed the revolutionary act of not excluding black, brown, LGBTQ cultures by default,” he says. “We created a product that is joyful, does no harm, and includes us. We invite everybody to play it.”
