An RPG That's Truly Divine

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is among the biggest, boldest, most gripping role-playing games in years. You play as Godwoken, a Sourcerer chosen by one of the Seven Gods to arise and claim power. Everything about Divinity: Original Sin 2—including its epic backstory—is breathtaking in scope, including its character design. While every character sports unique core attributes, you can customize each extensively. Combat is similarly refined, letting you take both terrain and environment into consideration: Send your spellcaster or archer to a high point to rain down damage, for example, or have your pyrokinetic spellcaster blast that leaky oil drum with a fireball to set an entire enemy legion ablaze.

Mac users get a few perks you won’t find in other versions of Divinity. Take advantage of your MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar for quick access to frequently used commands and menus. And if you have a Thunderbolt 3 Mac with an external GPU, that extra horsepower provides a top-shelf graphics experience.

Branching story lines and multiple difficulty levels encourage you to play over and over—it’s an entirely different game each time. Track your myriad quests and missions with Divinity’s journaling system. And save liberally in case you want to replay a battle: You never know whether that nonplayer character (NPC) you ignored might actually hold the key to victory. 

The game owes a huge debt to the classic Dungeons & Dragons pen-and-paper role-playing game. In fact, there’s a Game Master mode to help you create your own curated, customized adventure with other players around a table.
