Ever eat a perfect taco? Crazy Dave sure did. In the spectacular sequel Plants vs. Zombies 2, join your weird neighbor on a time-traveling food hunt filled (unfortunately) with shuffling zombies and (luckily) powerful plants.
Thanks to a bountiful crop of awesome updates, the game is as fresh now as when it first crawled out of the ground. Here’s why we stay on top of the lawn:

A multitude of modes
The tried-and-true 2D strategy is as fun as ever, but there’s always something new to discover. Fight the evil Dr. Zomboss head-on in Penny’s Pursuit. Partake in piñata parties, where zombies from different worlds show up for a showdown. And seasonal events, like the Very Yeti Feastivus super-quests, feature new plants in a series of levels with a special prize at the end.

The more, the scarier
Flesh out your almanac with an ever-expanding roster of helpful plants, like the tough-skinned Security Gourd or the bombastic Blastberry vine. And dozens of new zombies have been added over the years. A Medusa zombie? We’re frozen in fear!

Plant power
Wish your Pea Shooter was even sturdier? You can now upgrade most of your plants past the level cap thanks to mastery-level status that grants increased damage, improved resistance, and other cool enhancements. Deploy your powered-up Bloomerang and get growing!
