These Zombie Games Will Eat You Alive

Use your braaains to defeat the hordes!

Fast. Slow. Creepy. Cuddly. Our favorite zombie games feature every ghoul you can imagine—and you’ll face them all when the undead invasion comes. Don’t get bit!

Sorry, baddies—this city has a savior.

Hold ’em back

Electrifying action game Survivor!.io pits you against not dozens, not hundreds, but thousands of zombies in each 15-minute gauntlet. Fancy footwork and devastating weapons (including a monster-smushing durian fruit!) will foil legions of undead grunts, but to reach the next level—and a new section of your besieged town—you’ll also have to beat relentless bosses like the ravenous Corpsehound.

Want a fancy HQ in State of Survival? Keep growing and scavenging!

Build a society

Come to State of Survival for the white-knuckle combat, stay for the settlement-building strategy. Start by bolstering your home base with farms and training facilities, then send survivors to hunt for supplies and clear infested areas. Exploding zombies and giant monsters will keep your tough-as-nails troops on their toes!

Place leafy-green Bonk Choy in the middle of the grid to punch approaching zombies.

Go green

Your garden is in shambles, and who’s to blame? Shamblers, naturally. In Plants vs. Zombies 2, deploy Peashooters, Potato Mines, and other feisty flora to fend off absurd foes like Conehead Zombies (love those hats!) and Zombie Parrots. Wherever the time-traveling plot takes you—be it ancient Egypt or the Wild West—these clashes are hilariously goofy.

Nitro boosts help shake off Zombie Highway 2’s groaning goons.

Drive to survive

In Zombie Highway 2, racing down the road doesn’t mean you’re safe—it means you’re a target! Leaping ghouls latch onto your car and try to flip it; slam ’em against other vehicles and blast ’em with weapons before they succeed. Trying to fend off attackers while avoiding a crash gets tricky—and tilt controls make this wild ride even more intense.

Zombie Night Terror is full of hapless humans and amusing dialogue.

Herd the horde

A playable B movie with retro flourish, Zombie Night Terror flips the script by making you an evil mastermind directing an undead army. Choose who gets infected, then guide them past tricky obstacles till they’ve finished off everyone else inside a train, mansion, or space station.
