Take charge in The Sims FreePlay, a life simulator that puts the fate of a virtual neighborhood in your capable hands.
Whether you dig building and decorating homes or prefer navigating the soap-operatic intrigue of your Sims’ social lives, there’s plenty to see and do. Start with these virtual life-affirming tips:
1. Get inspired
Genius is 10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration—and as it happens, Sims perform better when they’re inspired.
Sims enter a glowing, inspired state when all of their basic needs—hunger, hygiene, bladder, energy, social, and fun—reach maximum satisfaction. If you notice a Sim sparkling, put ’em to work! Stick a Baked Alaska in the oven or plant some watermelon seeds, and watch extra XP come rolling in.
2. Multiply!
In The Sims FreePlay, one is the loneliest number. If you want to thrive quickly, create multiple Sims and harness their collective power to complete tasks simultaneously. The more the merrier! Just remember: Babies can’t have jobs, so keep lots of grown-ups around.
3. Mix up careers
Consider putting Sims on different career tracks. Maybe one’s an artist, while another is a teacher. This will give you greater access to awesome career-only items like the artist’s easel or the teacher’s chalkboard.
4. Watch your garden grow
Looking for some easy Simoleons? Start farming! Purchase plots, buy and grow seeds, and harvest peppers, onions, and tomatoes for Simoleons. You can also leave gardeners to work overnight and gather the fruits of their labor first thing in the morning. ⠀
5. Stay on schedule
Tasks take time, so follow a schedule! Some tasks can be completed during a play session (feeding ducks: 12 minutes), while other tasks occur while you’re away (like gardening or going to work). Plan these longer tasks right before you step away from the game for a few hours. And if you’re desperate to get a task done early, it’s OK to spend some life points to speed it up.
