What’s New in This Version • Book Search Tab — A new tab lets you search across your saved catalogs by title (required) and author (optional). Results include catalog source, available formats (EPUB/FB2), and quick download. • Catalog Online Status — Catalogs now show a color-coded status (online, limited, offline, timeout) with persisted state and support for authenticated sources. • Improved Visuals — New themed backgrounds per tab, including updated Library view and launch screen, plus improved readability of book cards. • Bug Fixes — Fixed a crash related to the reader quick menu.

This update is adding an option to offload books from device local storage, while keeping them in the iCloud library folder. When user sets an iCloud folder as default library folder, books are not necessarily need to stay on device. They could be downloaded on-demand when a book is opened for reading. Besides, user has an option now to offload local copies from the device all at once, using an option in settings. Books metadata stays in the library for review, the book is only being downloaded when opened for reading. Books in the library that are not physically stored on the device would have a cloud icon on their cover in the library. Also this version has some fixed issues: 1. Issue: library folder located in the iCloud sometimes "losing" its access when the app is being opened from multiple devices. 2. Battery consumption is higher than it is supposed to be: tightened and hardened background battery usage

This version focuses on sync reliability and adding eBook catalog portability (import/sharing). iCloud cross-device sync (iPhone ↔ iPad): reading progress/resume should stay in sync and should not jump backwards after reopening or background/foreground. “Remove from Reading”: removed books should stay removed across devices and should not reappear or duplicate later. eBook catalogs export/import: Export/share a single catalog or entire list of Catalogs (Button "+" -> Import or Share). You can share using all Apple standard share options (AirDrop, send through applications, emails, etc) and save it to Files, then an .ebooklib file (JSON format) will be saved on your device. This way you can share your free eBook catalogs with friends You can also keep it for yourself to have a restore option if you lose or mistakenly delete your catalog(s). Import is possible by opening a shared .ebooklib file via the existing “+” catalog flow; verify catalogs appear correctly after import. Files .ebooklib are associated with EbookLib app, so you also could import catalog(s) by log tap on the file and chose "Open with" and chosing EbookLib Catalog list ordering added: Catalogs will be sorted by name (A→Z) now. If you see any sync oddities, please include device model/OS version, whether iCloud Drive is enabled, and (if possible) share the Developer Logs from both devices right after reproducing. I will provide instructions to make Developer Logs visible if needed.

- Introduced book/author search within OPDS: multi-template support (books/authors), unified "All" scope. You can search for desired book or author through OPDS catalog search form. Please let me know if some searches are failing (since the OPDS formats may vary for different catalogs) - Power & performance improvements: foreground-only sync, throttled background activity loops, reduced unnecessary network/auth requests, scoped cascade probing. - Battery drain from continuous background sync loops and rapid CloudKit upserts significantly reduced.

This update brings a smarter reading experience and more: - dynamic logical page numbers with a jump-to-page sheet and recent picks - haptic progress slider with chapter ticks (for devices supporting haptic feedback) - richer Cloud sync. Your reading progress and bookmarks (rename, jump, delete, toast feedback) - are synchronized across you devices with same Apple ID. It syncs almost instantly. Almost - means as soon as Apple Cloud catches up. Bookmarks that are created on one device are syncing to other devices, as well as the reading progress. - in-book search - find matches within the book (EPUB supported) - full English/Russian localization across reader, settings, and library (depends on device default language) - broad performance and stability improvements and cleanup. - fixed issue introduced in Ver. 2.2 Build 1 - Navigation back from footnote was removed when changed progress from percentage to page numbers. - added navigation history - long press on Return icon (return arrow next to X icon at left top corner) will open 5 last jump positions (when moving within the book) to choose from. Enjoy a more responsive, localized, and reliable reader.

Added Reading tab to Library: all books opened in the app built-in reader will appear in the Reading tab. When new version is installed the reading tab will be empty, it will start adding books after the update. Books opened before the update will not be there at start. User can open books to continue reading (reading progress saved), can remove them from reading list (they will still be kept in the Library) or mark as finished (they will appear in the Library with green badge in the left upper corner). Also as MOBI format is deprecated by Amazon, MOBI format support has been removed from the app. Unified iPad and iPhone UI elements and menus as much as possible making user experience similar.
